Leaving a squad
You can leave a squad at any time from your account. Before you do, there are a couple of things to check.
Not sure you want to leave?
If you just need a break, your squad organiser can pause your membership so you don't receive upcoming activity invites. You can also adjust your notification settings.
- 1
- Settle any outstanding payments – You'll need to clear any outstanding balance before you can leave. Go to Schedule and tap the button to pay for individual activities, or reply 'pay' in WhatsApp to get a secure payment link.
- 2
- Transfer squad ownership – If you own the squad you want to leave, you'll need to appoint an admin, then contact us to complete the transfer.
- 3
- Leave the squad – Go to your account, tap the three-dot menu next to the squad you want to leave, and select 'Leave squad'. If you're a member of more than one squad, you'll need to leave each one separately.
Can I rejoin a squad I've left?
If you want to rejoin a squad you've previously left, you'll need to ask your squad organiser to invite you to rejoin. You'll receive upcoming activity invites once you're signed up.
Deleting your account
Leaving a squad stops all notifications, so you don't need to delete your account unless you want to close it entirely.
To permanently close your Squaddle account or request deletion of your personal data, please contact us.
Account closure requests are processed promptly, except where payments are outstanding. If you have an outstanding balance, your account cannot be closed until this is settled – unless your squad organiser has agreed to waive it.
