Editing an activity
This article outlines how to edit an existing activity. For a full walkthrough of activity settings, see Creating an activity.
- 1
- Go to your Squad and tap the activity you want to edit. Tap the three-dot menu and select 'Edit details'.
- 2
- Modify the activity details. You can change the name, location, date, start and end time. Editing any of these will trigger a notification to squad members when you save your changes. For repeating activities, you can also change when invitations are sent each week (members aren't notified of this change).
- 3
- Edit participants. You can change the minimum and maximum number of participants. You can also update who is marked in automatically – for repeating activities, if your invites have already gone out this week, this change will only affect future activities.
- 4
- Payments. It's not possible to edit payment settings after creation since these affect how Squaddle handles responses from members and manages cancellations and refunds. If you need to change payment settings for any reason, you'll need to cancel the activity and recreate it.
- 5
- Edit your reserves and dropout settings. You can switch between 'Promote first reserve' and 'Offer to all reserves' if the activity was created with Anytime payments. See Managing reserves for more information on those settings. If payments were set to Upfront, these settings are locked – you'll need to cancel the activity and recreate it to change them.
- 6
- Review and tap 'Update activity'. Members are automatically notified if you've changed the name, location, date, or time.
How do I notify members about changes to an activity?
If you want to flag the changes to your squad, you can send a message to groups of members (In, Reserves or No response) from within a particular activity or to everybody via the Squads tab. You can't message members who've marked themselves Out about specific activities.
