Creating an activity

Activities are the foundation of how your squad organises, communicates, and collects payments. This article walks you through creating an activity from scratch.

1
Go to Squads and select your squad. From the Activities tab, tap '+ New activity'.
2
Choose Single or Repeating. A single activity is a one-off. A repeating activity is scheduled at the same time each week. You can set the day and time that invitations go out each week, so for example a Wednesday evening game can be sent to members on Monday mornings.
3
Fill in the activity details. Title, location, date, and start time are required. End time is optional. The title will appear in the invite your squad members receive, so make it something they'll recognise.
4
Set your participant numbers. Set a minimum and maximum number of participants. Squaddle notifies you when the minimum is reached, confirming the activity is going ahead. Once the maximum is reached, further participants are added to the reserves list automatically.
5
Select anyone to be marked in automatically before invites are sent. The person creating the activity is marked in by default – uncheck your name if that's not right.
6
Set up payments if you want to collect them through Squaddle for this activity. Learn about using Squaddle for payments.
7
Choose how to handle dropouts. If someone drops out and frees up a place, Squaddle can either promote the first person on the reserves list automatically, or notify all reserves at once and give the place to whoever responds first.
8
Add an optional message to go out with the invitation. For example, flagging a new time or different location.
9
Review and tap 'Create activity'. Not everything can be changed after you've created an activity, so review carefully before tapping the button. Your squad will receive a notification about the new activity straight away.
