Adding an international number

Squaddle's integration with WhatsApp works with international phone numbers. You can select yours from a drop-down list when you add your mobile number to your account.

If your country's prefix doesn't already appear in the list, get in touch and we can enable it.

Blocked countries

There is a small set of countries that are excluded from using WhatsApp for Business services, which means they aren't supported by Squaddle.

Phone numbers from the following countries are blocked:

  • Cuba (+53)
  • Iran (+98)
  • North Korea (+850)
  • Syria (+963)

Countries that block WhatsApp

Several countries completely block WhatsApp in their territory, while others restrict its use or impose intermittent bans.

Squaddle doesn't maintain a list of territories where WhatsApp is restricted, but WhatsApp is fully or partially blocked in the following countries:

  • China
  • Russia, including Crimea
  • Belarus

If a country uses network blocks to restrict WhatsApp, Squaddle won't usually be able to deliver messages – even if your number is registered to a country where WhatsApp isn't restricted.

Not receiving notifications from Squaddle?

If you've successfully added a phone number but haven't verified your number, Squaddle won't be able to deliver notifications. Check and update your account details, and look out for an Unverified warning.
